Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne are reveling in new parenthood, sleep deprivation and all.
The longtime couple welcomed their second child together — a son, whose name Cannavale tells Entertainment Tonight is Rafa — in November, and the 47-year-old actor is opening up about having a newborn around again.
“It’s going great. We’re a … little bit of lack of sleep in the house, but we’re doing well,” Cannavale admitted to ET on Sunday of himself and Byrne, whose 4-week-old joins big brothers Rocco Robin, 22 months, and Jake, Cannavale’s 22-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Rafa’s name has a double dose of meaning in terms of why his parents chose it. According to the Ferdinand star, it honors both Cannavale’s family and an athlete he and Byrne, 38, are quite the fans of.
“I hadn’t given one of my children a Latin name yet, so I wanted to honor my mom’s side of the family,” he explained. “And Rafael Nadal had such a great year and we were constantly keeping up with him and watching all his matches so we were like, ‘How about Rafa? That goes well with Rocco.’ And that was it.”

While Rocco may be young, his dad praises the little boy’s sibling skills as top-notch already.
“He’s a terrific big brother,” said Cannavale. “He’s wonderful with him, and really gentle with him, and my oldest is great with both of them. We couldn’t ask for anything more.”
One big bonus of the actor’s new voice role? “It was my favorite book!” he told ET of Ferdinand. “And now I have a 22-year-old, I used to read it to him, and now I have a 22-month-old and I have a 4-week-old … we read it every night before we go to bed.”
