And the Rays have been shitting their pants since. Shutout 2 games in a row.

Such a disappointing pick. This year is at least decent, but this 5 games are the only thing making his batting average not horrendous

I think it was a terrible trade, but using WAR in this context is inappropriate. WAR in a 5 game stretch isn’t really all that informative because of SSS. Beckham is having a hot streak. He’s an incredibly streaky player. It’s better to use WAR to evaluate his actual contributions at the end of the season.

Still though, a really dumb trade by the Rays.

Great. So now the same people responsible for running him out of town because he was never Buster Posey are going to never shut the fuck about him now that he’s gone.

Fucking toxic here sometimes. Might as well just start rumors that Beckham ate too many hot dogs while we’re at it.

I wonder what the most WAR a player has accumulated in 5 games in history is…

Mike Trout: on pace for 9.7 WAR.
Oriole Tim Beckham: on pace for 12.32 WAR.

Well everyone looks like we’ve got a new GOAT.

Yeah, yeah, we all know this missile is going to come back down to earth sooner or later. But while he’s up there I’m damn sure going to enjoy the view.
