Did you try and fix it by driving your car into it?

Garage doors are one of the feel things you should leave to a professional. They are pretty dangerous if handled improperly

Meh. You went from a garage door that doesn’t work to a garage door that (still) doesn’t work. No loss really. Especially if you learned something along the way.

Well, now you don’t have to justify to yourself spending the money on a new door.

Do not let anybody try and sell you on a repair, you’d be paying for a door that’ll never work right again and you’d be replacing it in another year or so wasting the money spent on the repair. You need a new door. Expect $800-$1000 for a new 24ga door including tax, labor, and hauling away the old door. Insulation or windows would increase the price. Don’t go for a 26ga door, 25ga is okay but 24 ga is better.

    This is my job.
