This is not a form factor for petabyte SSDs, but for rack-mounting a petabyte’s worth of SSDs (which might be hundreds of individual drives depending on their capacity).

Optane can be used as a slower, but cheaper and higher capacity alternative to DRAM. This will be great for servers that require massive amounts of RAM, like extremely fast databases.

WTF, solid state disk drive? Seriously? He thinks SSD stands for solid state disk? Author within the first sentence has managed to make believe he’s an idiot.
