Whether or not that was his best catch might be up for debate, but that catch, flying through the air at a full stretch and covering that much distance, is easily the most Supermanesque he’s ever looked.

Didn’t surprise me at all. Maybe I’m used to JBJesus making these types of plays, but its mostly just how good Pillar is. No ball hit anywhere near center is safe in Toronto unless it goes over that fence. Pillar has always been one of the best outfielders in the game, and for good reason.

Reddit probably won’t believe me, but I did a car deal for his father in law for a lifted truck about 2 years ago.

Kevin & his wife test drove it; after finalizing the deal (he was way cool & respectful) he said do you watch much baseball?

It was a weird feeling to be star struck as the customer drove away…

Cool dude, 10/10 would sell a car to again (but fuck that industry)

That looked like a video game. Almost seemed like he glitched towards the ball at the end.

Honestly though, the catch was obviously great but his jump was impressive. I can imagine him thinking to himself “Mookie’s going for the gap” and then at the crack of the bat he knew he was right and just hauled ass. At that point, he just wanted to validate his decision making and nothing was going to keep him from finishing the play.
