    I’ve posted this before but:

    >Both Hamill and Fisher had been assigned nutritionists and personal trainers to work with ahead of production. Producers were said to be fine with the shape that Ford was currently in.

I felt it was fitting that Indiana Jones didn’t need a personal trainer.

Wow! Good for him. That’s tough for anyone, and even tougher as you get older.

Mark Hamill has always seemed like the really genuine dude to me, especially in the last few years. Yeah, he is stoked for the new trilogy for its financial reasons, but he also seems to have the heart for Star Wars and Star Wars fans that puts a smile on my face. He seems to get genuine enjoyment from being a Star Wars character/personality.

I won’t bad mouth Harrison Ford, but he wasn’t really that interested in doing the reboot (which I will speculate was because of his other work, age, interests, etc), so while I am sad he is gone form the story, I’m excited to have Mark a part of this experience.

Supposedly there’s buzz that his performance in TLJ is Oscar worthy – but that’s probably just the studio/marketing.

    Let’s hope!

As a fan base, I think we owe Mr. Hamill a huge thank you for putting a ridiculous amount of effort into his reprisal of the role. Sure, there’s a lot of money involved, I’m sure, but I have a hard time believing that’s the only reason he’s doing this. I don’t think there are a lot of people in the world who would be able to shoulder such an immense responsibility at such a personal cost of radically altering a lifestyle (I’d never go out and lose 50lb, even for Star Wars) That’s what I see in this, if you wanted my two cents.

Yeah it’s amazing how much better he looks with the beard, and I’m sure he dropped a few pounds as well.

If the best thing to come out of the New Star Wars movies was a few more years with a Healthy Mark Hamill then they were worth every penny.

Didn’t he lose the weight a good while before filming SW? I recall seeing him in the Flash a few times looking slimmed down.

I personally would of loved it if when rey shows up it turns out that luke let himself go and got fat. Relying on the force to do even the simplest of tasks out of physical laziness. Just saying. This needs to be a short online comic strip.
