Is there a way to somehow encrypt / password protect the mac OS wallet and even to backup it?

I find it very complicated that you have to enter every time your private key – more or less you are forced to store it somewhere digitally if you don’t want to type it everytime you reopen the wallet or am I missing something?!

And how do you backup the mac wallet? Only safe the private key?

I honestly wasn’t going to use it to be extra safe until this.

When there a new update for the Neon wallet, do I have to redownload the latest release? Or will the wallet update to the latest version on its own?

Are there any plans to make it so I dont have to paste my Private key in every time I open the wallet? Like a Password system or something maby? It would be good If we could load up the Wallet file and use a password like the Regular wallet.

How long does it typically take for NEO to show up in the wallet? I’ve almost been waiting for an hour now to no avail.

Hello. Both PC and Web wallets have stopped syncing. Do you know which new wallets are compatible with the old Antshares version-Neo GUI or CLI.

    Thanks.

Is it normal for it to not show your Neo with decimals? Mine just has a flat number, but I know I deposited X.79xxx and it only shows it as X in the wallet. Other than that this is a speedy wallet!

Am I the only one having issues with Neon right now? Suddenly says 0 balance for both NEO and GAS. It shows new gas that I can claim though. Was scared for a bit, but checked my address in the neoexplorer and my balance seems to be in tact. Yes it is version 0.0.3….

Awesome work! Just downloaded and am using the mac wallett

Does this wallet generate gas while not logged on? Or do you have to keep it open?

Are there any plans to add the ability to sign offline transactions to Neon? Would greatly improve my peace of mind for making transactions.

I’ve been holding my NEO in the original AntShares Core Wallet. Should I switch to Neon Wallet? What do I have to do to move my NEO across?

When I press the login button with my private key, nothing is happening. Is this a bug? Quite concerned I’m not able to get access to my neo now……….

Edit: Don’t listen to me, it was my mistake.

I’m not a techie so please correct me if this is not secure.

I think i found a way to keep your private key for this wallet on a encrypted USB (Its been tested).

    1. The private key would be copied to a text file then encrypted with VeraCrypt with assigned password and put into a removal USB that can be safely stored in a safe or where ever

    More about the software (open-source)
    https://veracrypt.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Downloads#Title

Step by step on how to do it (not me)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XshQWFLfwdA

That way the key is not on your PC and can be accessed when its needed.

Can someone help me? I don’t know what I did wrong.
    – I had web wallet
    – I just downloaded the NEON wallet and sent 1 NEO from web wallet to NEON wallet
    – I then sent the rest of my NEO from web to NEON wallet and it showed up fine.
    – I log back into the NEON wallet and my balance shows zero
    – I just tried downloading the wallet again and re-installing, but still zero
    – I explored the transaction on NEOchain and for some reason, the public address that I now see in NEON wallet is different from the NEOchain one: http://neochain.io/address/ASHsmcb74x5ds3vF1g6dkR5Er39oggneVf/c56f33fc6ecfcd0c225c4ab356fee59390af8560be0e930faebe74a6daff7c9b
    – How did this happen and did I lose my coins forever? :(((
    – I checked the public address that I now see on my NEO wallet and NEOChain says not found. The public key I now see is: AKUpLiDcSZKgVsfefba1zQCurpAKCzT17r

    I don’t understand what happened??
EDIT: unless somehow when I saved the private key, when I went back to the main screen, I pressed create a new wallet again and used that key instead that I didnt lose? then I lost some NEO forever? :((( I don’t remember doing that, but that’s the only plausible explanation?
