Wow, hall of famer right here.
    – Criticizes for over-explaining while over-explaining
    – Makes a weird and pretentious analogy
    – Trademarks his quotes

The comment on the vapor trail was over explaining, but polite and interesting. The sarcasm comment was over explaining but condescending.

And yet most people fail to realise that the cat thought experiment was literally an educated mocking of quantum physics.

“sarcasm is like Schrodingers cat. It’s either effective sarcasm or not, and it can’t be known until it’s measured and observed by some dolt like you.”

References like this are painful, you can tell he just threw it in there to show he’d read a few sentences on the wikipedia page for quantum mechanics once or twice.

I swear the point of Schrödingers Cat is that its both alive and dead simultaneously until you check. His analogy, that sarcasm is either funny or not funny and can’t be both, is the exact opposite of what the thought experiment is supposed to be

Edit: To clarify, sarcasm that is written rather than spoken.

Or the dude just likes sharing knowledge? I do this all the time; I love explaining stuff to people because information is beautiful, and when I get the chance to potentially let someone else soak in that beautiful info, you better damn well know that I will take that chance.

Why do people have to instantly assume that something is bad? It’s like the guy was looking for a fight that didn’t even exist in the first place.
